About Me
Hi, I'm Matthew Klausmeier. I grew up in Indiana (which is what you see as
the background image for this site), but currently I live in Colorado where I work as a
computer programmer. Ever since high school I've gone back and forth between jobs
involving ministry and those involving computers. On the ministry side, I've been a
youth pastor, an interim pastor, a missionary, and I spent a couple of years planning
and running Christian summer camps for over 500 kids. On the computer side, I've made
video games, websites, museum installations, and mobile and desktop apps.
My degree is in computer programming and networking, with an emphasis on video
games; I haven't attended seminary. But during high school I developed a hunger
for good Christian teaching, and since then I've read or listened to everything I could
get my hands on. I joined YWAM in 1998 where my eyes were opened to the world of
missions, and I've enjoyed many good books and podcasts from men such as Tim Chaddick,
Charles Spurgeon, Alistair Begg, Francis Chan, and others.
I was a teenager the first time someone told me I have a gift for teaching the
Word of God, and it's something people have continued to affirm throughout my life.
So even though I'm employed by day as a mild mannered computer programmer, I publish
these blog posts daily as a way to strengthen and encourage you, my brothers and
sisters in Christ.
Please reach out to let me know if my words have been of any encouragement to you!
